Share the Plate – Community Meals

Living with COVID-19 has challenged all of us to find new ways to share our resources. A group of churches and community organizations in Milford and Hopedalehave done just that. The Community Meals served at Trinity Episcopal Church in Milford, which have been a community staple during the last

week of every month, are not possible during this period of social distancing, In response, Trinity Episcopal Church, Hopedale Unitarian Parish, United Methodist Church of Milford, and Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church of Hopedale, who host those meals, have formed a new partnership with other churches and local organizations to purchase food from local restaurants.

From September through November we will be  providing weekly Grab and Go meals to the Food Insecure in the Milford region. Some weeks we will be partnering with local privately owned restaurants to provide a meal,  and other weeks we will cook at Trinity Episcopal church. You donations are appreciated to help enhance the food package that is provided at these Grab and Go meals. Donations that can be used:

Monetary donations, cases for 16 oz water bottles, individually wrapped snacks (breakfast bars, crackers, raisins, fruit cups, pudding cups etc)

This program is funded through donations and has recieved a grant for the fall. To date, the group raised over $6000 dollars in donations which were used to provide for summer deliveries.
