MLK Day of Service

Hopedale Unitarian Parish is a part of a coalition of faith communities and schools that organize the Hopedale community’s participation in the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service, a project of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Volunteers are matched up with non-profit, educational, and governmental organizations and spend the afternoon helping with various projects that help those groups better serve the community. Following our service we gather for a community meal and then a ceremony where we recognize a member (or organization) in the community with an annual Power of One Award for their extraordinary contribution in the area of community improvement or social justice during the past 5 years.

Join us in making the MLK Holiday a “Day On” not a “Day Off.”
