Laundry Love

Sometimes Standing on the Side of Love means helping people pay for their laundry and hanging out with them while the machines tumble. Hopedale Unitarian Parish Helps with Laundry Love, coordinated locally by Trinity Episcopal Church in Milford, MA.  We attend Laundry Love at two locations, EZ Laundromat  at 16 School St, Milford, MA on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5-9 p.m. and Double Bubble Laundromat at  91 Medway Rd, Milford, MA on the 1st Thursday of each month from 5-9 p.m.  Laundry Love volunteers supply the money, soap and dryer sheets and pay for the laundry of everyone using the machines while we are there.

The Laundry Love initiative consists of regular opportunities to help people who are struggling financially by assisting them with doing their laundry. For those living below the poverty line, washing clothes presents both a logistical problem and a financial hardship. Laundry Love partners with local laundromats in cleaning the clothes of those living in shelters, motels, cars, garages and on the streets.
